DR Alyssa Cho

Alyssa Cho is a global health researcher and dietician with experience in infectious disease epidemiology, non-communicable diseases, and nutrition. Ms. Cho is the epidemiology focal and coordinator for the “preparing for vaccine trials” work stream for SAVAC 2.0 at the International Vaccine Institute (IVI).

She is also a doctoral student at the Karolinska Institutet Department of Medicine Huddinge Centre for Infectious Medicine, where she is investigating nutritional factors in relation to Strep A sequelae. Previously, she worked as a public health researcher and clinical dietician at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, United States.

As a clinician, her experiences include working in cardiology, neurology, oncology and pediatrics. A a researcher, her experiences include investigating diet-disease relationships and developing interventions for neurological diseases and pediatric obesity, and designing and implementing disease surveillance and vaccine effectiveness studies.
