Anu Gomanju

Anu is a patient advocate for ending rheumatic heart disease (RHD) as well as a person living with RHD from Nepal. She supports timely access to high-quality, affordable healthcare and advocates for meaningful engagement for people living with non-communicable diseases (PLWNCD), including those with childhood-onset heart disease.

Anu volunteers as an NCD patient advocate for various national and global organizations, taking on a range of roles. She holds affiliations with the NCDI Poverty Network, serving as the 'Steering Committee Youth Advocate' and 'Voices for PEN-Plus.' She is also the NCDI Poverty Network's Voices of NCDI Poverty Advocacy Fellow Alumna (2021–2022). Anu is also affiliated with alliances of patient and family organizations and collaborates with global health organizations, including the World Health Organization and the World Heart Federation, representing Nepal and Asia region.

Academically, Anu is trained in global health and holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Global Health. She aspires to empower individuals with chronic illnesses and engages in policy advocacy, health literacy, and research to advance her mission.
