Dr Bo Reményi

Dr Bo Remenyi is a paediatric cardiologist at Royal Darwin Hospital, Australia, a Director of Deadly Heart Trek, and an Honorary Research Fellow at the Menzies School of Health Research.

She holds a PhD and has dedicated much of her career to improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with acute rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease. Her research focuses on equitable models of care, echocardiographic screening, early diagnosis and implementation science.

Dr Remenyi is a member of the World Heart Federation Neglected Cardiac Diseases Expert Group and a former Scientific Advisor to the World Heart Federation on rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease. She was the senior author of the 2023 World Heart Federation Guidelines for the Echocardiographic Diagnosis of Rheumatic Heart Disease.
