Ms Fatoumata Camara
I am currently a PhD candidate conducting my research in collaboration with Medical Research Council Unit The Gambia and The Kids Research Institute Australia. My research focuses on understanding how naturally acquired immunity to Strep A develops, particularly in high-burden settings where repeated exposure begins early in life. Ultimately, my work aims to contribute to global efforts towards developing a broadly protective Strep A vaccine to reduce the global burden of Strep A-related diseases, including rheumatic heart disease.
