Associate Professor Julie Bennett

Associate Professor Julie Bennett is a public health researcher at the University of Otago, Wellington, New Zealand. Over the past decade, she has led and co-led clinical trials, observational studies and health service research aimed at strengthening the evidence base and improving outcomes for children and whānau affected by ARF and RHD. Her research spans Group A Streptococcus, secondary prophylaxis, models of care and implementation science, with a strong focus on translating evidence into policy and practice. She was a member of the World Health Organization ARF and RHD Guideline Development Group and Pū Manawa – the Aotearoa New Zealand Rheumatic Fever Network.
