Professor jennifer yan

Prof Jennifer Yan is a paediatrician and infectious diseases specialist, and clinician-researcher.

Her work in rheumatic heart disease has focused on early detection through implementation of tasksharing, handheld echocardiography screening, training local health workers in remote Aboriginal communities in Australia and in Timor-Leste.

The team in Timor-Leste is also part of the ARC network and are continuing collaborations with the Ugandan team in piloting an RHD registry and AI in echocardiography.
