Dr Loise Nyanjau

Dr. Loise Nyanjau is a distinguished medical doctor and global health leader with over a decade of experience shaping and implementing large-scale health programmes. Renowned for her strategic vision and transformative leadership, she has consistently driven health policy reforms, regional partnerships, and resource mobilisation efforts that align with both national and regional priorities. Currently serving as Head of Maternal Health at Kenya’s Ministry of Health, she leads the national maternal health agenda—advancing high-impact interventions, strengthening quality of care, and improving system coordination among actors including sub-national units.

Previous roles she has served at the Kenya’s MOH include Lead of Cardiovascular Diseases Control Programme; UN agencies liasion; Stakeholder Management & Resource Mobilisation lead at National Cancer Institute of Kenya; among others.

She holds advanced degrees in Global Health; Public Health; National Security & Strategy; and continues to drive sustainable, evidence-based health solutions across East, Central, and Southern Africa.
